Chimney Rock State Park

Last year on our vacation we visited Chimney Rock State Park. It is such a beautiful place, so we had to go back! This time we brought the whole family and some friends. It was a great day to go because one of the park guides told us there was a 70 mile visibility.
A long time ago a group of people dug out a tunnel through the mountain to put an elevator in that goes to the top of the mountain. Jeremy and Alex were excited to get to walk in a "cave." I know its kinda hard to see, but if you look closely you can find everyone in the picture below.
The boys got hard hats to go into the Moonshiners Cave. We didn't know that you can only go about 20 feet in the cave. But they both looked so cute wearing their hats.
I think my favorite part of the park is the waterfall. The half mile trail ends at the middle of the waterfall where you can play in the water.
