Our day was filled with a breakfast birthday party for baby Jesus, Jeremy reading the Christmas story, lots of presents, and even a surprise treasure hunt for one last Christmas present, a great Christmas morning church service, and then off to Nanny and Papa's house for more fun.
Its always a good sign when you can get a picture with a smile this big!
Over the summer the Blessings had the Lawson family come stay with them for a week or so. The Lawson's own an amazing photography business in south Florida and we haven't had family photos taken in at least 4 years! So, Steve took some photos for us. This was one of my favorites and we made it our Christmas card for the year. I thought it turned out pretty good!
One of Jeremy's favorite things he got was his his Paper Jams. He LOVES music!
Jeremy got daddy some wrenches and even wrapped it himself. Next time we'll use more than one strip of tape. At the bottom of this is a video of Jeremy's present that he got from Mommy and Daddy. 
If you have seen Jeremy in the last month, you have most likely heard him talking about night vision goggles. He was very happy with them!
And meet Penelope on the left and Pleo on the right. Penelope is Jeremy's class mascot from school. We took her home over the Christmas break and are taking pictures of Penelope's adventures. And, introducing Pleo, our new pet Camarasaurus. 
We had a birthday party for Baby Jesus complete with a birthday cake. Every part of the cake has a meaning. The kids really got into it.

After the Christmas eve service we always get to open one present at Mimi's house. It is usually Christmas pajamas that we wear that night.
First was a Christmas Tree made made out of a sugar cone and covered with green colored icing and different little candies.
Next was a pine cone bird feeder. The bird seed and peanut butter were already mixed together which made it way easier to spread. 
And this one makes a great quick bible lesson too...
Then we made candy canes out of pipe cleaners and beads.
Ok, this one was my favorite and I promise to treasure it for years. One of the mom's has one of those cricket scrap booking things. So, you can use it to etch in glass. So each ornament has the kids name in it and the year on the back. Then we filled them with sparkly ribbon and fake-snow-glittery-stuff.
And last but not least, is it possible to have a craft day without foam cutouts? I think not!

This year at school, some of the kids in Jeremy's class got speaking parts in the Christmas play. Jeremy isn't afraid to talk in front of anyone, so he got a couple lines. I was really proud of my little man and his enunciation. My favorite part of the whole night was when my sister, Rachael, who I dont think she even knew he had lines, heard Jeremy speak she burts into tears and snot because it was "the cutest thing she had ever seen!"
This is Jeremy's ornament from Callaway. He talked about buying a nutcracker before we even got there, so this is what he already picked out as his souvenir. 
I picked out this little baseball player for Jeremy from Nanny because this is his first, I hope, of many years to come playing baseball. 
Most years I pick out the Noah's Ark ornament for myself because it is so darn cute. My OCD won't let me stop from getting the Noah's Ark, but this red bird was just so much prettier. I think one day when I'm old and need two trees to fit all the ornaments, I want to have a tree of just bird ornaments. 
Haha, I love Joey's ornament. If you can't tell, it is a little reindeer made out of tools. I think this is perfect for my handy man husband who will fix anything. 
This is my favorite of the year... an aspen leaf. This is so we can remember our trip this summer with Wanda and David. Every time we saw an aspen out west, Joey talked about trying to plant one at our house. It took a lot of convincing that if a tree can live in snow, it probably wasn't meant to be in Florida.

Next, we made it to Mimi's house to open a few presents and a birthday party for Jesus. 
Ya-ya and Eric got Jeremy "bad Hulk" hands. 
Our next stop on our Christmas journey was Nanny and Papa's house. Jeremy loves hanging out with his cousins.
Finally, Nanny, Papa, Wanda and David had a final Christmas suprise left for the boys. This is there reaction when they first saw them.... 
Two 4wheelers for Jeremy and Matthew and a new laptop for Nicholas! No, really. Here is Jeremy on his 4wheeler. Unfortuantly, this will be the last time you see Jeremy on this 4wheeler because they are returning them because of how dangerous they are.
