Color Run!

I've been hearing about these crazy things called color runs for a few months. They sounded fabulous: only 5K (that's reasonable) and you get covered in a brightly-colored dirty mess and there is lots of music.  So our family jumped at the chance to do the first color run that came to town!!!
We got up early in the morning and adorned our Color Run gear. The only requirement to participate is that you wear mostly white!

We joined probably 10,000 of our fellow Color Runners and took off for our trip around town. 

If you can't tell, we had the best time! And even better news: Color Me Rad is coming to town next month! We will be there for sure!!

Rockies Machine Pitch Game 4

Well, aren't we starting to look like a team! As the team mom, I take on the role of getting the kids ready to bat and keeping everyone else on the bench. Hey look... everyone is sitting! Ha ha... enough about me. This post is about Jeremy!That crazy kid had a great game tonight. He was paying attention and participating. It was great! He has come leaps and bounds with his throwing and hitting since we started the season! Must be his awesome coach!
Joey really enjoys helping out too. Awe, aren't they cute!
Tonight he hit 2 doubles! That is like the 7 year old version of two home runs (well, it is for our team anyway!)

His favorite position is catcher. And I'm pretty sure he even caught a few balls that weren't hit!

Rockies Machine Pitch Game 1

It's that time of year again, folks! BASEBALL SEASON! I know, I hear you cheering... he is such a cute ball player!!

So, let the games begin!

TRBC 5k Race

Like most little boys, Jeremy is always moving. Always. And when he is moving he is usually running. So, this year we entered him in the TRBC 5k race.

I participated too, but mostly for my daily round of exercise. You see, before I found out I was pregnant, I had been running a little... but there is something about being pregnant that has an immediate effect on my lungs. So, I did a little running downhill and a little walking uphill. The problem with this course is that it was about 85% UPHILL! Seriously!

So, back to Jeremy... He ran the whole time with Ya-Ya and her friend Brooks. They finished in just under 36 minutes!! I guess we aren't breaking any records here, but I was pretty impressed with his first 5k!

Here are a few moments from game 3! This was a really rough game for our team and I think only 2 kids ever even hit the ball... Jeremy was not one of them which makes him very upset! I think we are all going to have a lot of practicing to do over Spring Break!! But, it was a beautiful evening and the kids had a ton of fun regardless!

Hey Batter Batter...

Its that time of year again, folks. Baseball season! Jeremy is thrilled to be playing again, especially since he can finally play in the machine pitch league. This Saturday was a beautiful day for some baseball and Jeremy got his first chance to play catcher. He, of course, thought it was social hour and he talked the whole time to the batters...

"So, how was your week?"

"Thanks for hitting that ball!"

"That means I don't have to catch it."

"I'm wearing a cup, how about you?" "I think I laid an egg!"

"Don't you think I look like a transformer?"

It was hilarious! I think this is going to be a great season!

FSU Womens Basketball Game

Our neighbor, Melissa, gave us some Womens Basketball tickets for the FSU vs. Duke game. It was a fun time... even if we didn't win. I think basketball is Jeremy's new favorite sport (and hopefully FSU is his new favorite team!)
