Thanksgiving 2011

This was our first Thanksgiving at a new house. So here's a break down of what went on...Freida did most of the cooking.Sarah helped. OK, not really. That's not helping!Rachael and Danny made it on time. Whoo-hoo! Good job you two.We put together some Lego's. That's always important at Thanksgiving, right? Yeah, I thought so.
And we ate! A LOT!
We sat back and relaxed and played in some leaves. Good times!
And we took fun pictures from our cell phones!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Weekend with BB

We needed a quick vacation, so we went and spend the weekend with BB and Maynard in Albany. Saturday night they took us to see the Mickey's Rockin' Road Trip show at the civic center and Jeremy LOVED it! Sunday, we just took it easy and went down to the river walk to hangout. Of course, we had to do a couple of geocaches right by the river. Although, we weren't prepared for the "jungle caches" as the Blessings would call them, we did manage to find a few without getting too messed up.This one was pretty sneaky and hidden in the hollowed out part of this tree.Right by the river is a park called Turtle park... although we aren't quite sure why they would have named it that.We brought Flat Jeremy along for the ride too.Just a short walk south of the park is a Ray Charles Memorial. I thought this sidewalk/bench piano thing was awesome. Jeremy liked it and brushed up on his piano. Right in the middle of this memorial area is this fountain sculpture, and right as we walked up you could hear it playing "Georgia on My Mind." It was so awesome!

Thanksgiving in Callaway

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, our friends and family! Joey has been talking for the last, well... 5 years, about going to Callaway Gardens after Thanksgiving to see the lights. We finally made it this year.We had a couple of aunts come with us... and Mimi. The leaves were still changing color and it was gorgeous out there! With entrance to see the Fantasy in Lights, we also got into the Butterfly Gardens and the Horticulteral Center. It was really cold outside, but in the butterfly garden it was still quite warm.Ok, it is hard to take pictures of butterflies... but I thought this one was really cool. They had a priority mail box that looked like it had been thrown in the corner. It had "Contains live lady bugs" written on it in big letters, and then we noticed TONS of ladybugs everywhere.I normally don't let Joey hold the camera, but I am giving him full credit for these flowers below. Good job, honey!I wish it was this beautiful in Tallahassee. Jeremy thinks he is so big now, this is his "manly" pose. While we were waiting on our trolly to see the lights, they have a huge tent to buy stuff and this Santa. Hewas the best Santa ever! He spent like five minutes with every kid. Of course, it will cost us in the end because he told Santa way more stuff than what we had planned on. Taking pictures of Christmas lights (while moving) is harder than taking pictures of butterflies. So, here a couple of my favorites.Jeremy loved the nutcrackers! They were the highlight of his weekend. Here is a video of just a few minutes of the trolly ride.
