It is finally time for our family vacation! We are on a
week long trip to the
mountains, visit good friends, and just relax.

Day one started out really great and the car ride was actually a little fun. Jeremy loves playing I Spy and the quiet game (the quiet game is where he says "lets play the quiet game," and as soon as everyone starts Jeremy starts laughing and yells "I LOSE!"

Our first stop on our adventure was Stone
Mountain outside of Atlanta.

Everything started out great and we decided that we would walk up the mountain and take a sky bucket back down.

It was a really so beautiful walking up at sunset! But by the time we get half way up it started to get really steep!

By the time we were half way up Joey and I realized that we were not in the best shape and we weren't really dress for the hike in jeans and
flip flops. Joey had to carry Jeremy on his shoulders practically the whole way up.
But right before 9 pm we made it up. It took us about 45 minutes to walk the 2 and a half miles up. We were both so proud that we made it up! And when we got to the top and walked up to the sky buckets we watched the LAST ones go down!

So, you guessed it... we had to walk all the way down 2 and a half more miles. No water. No flashlight (other than Joey's cell phone.) And Joey still had to carry Jeremy back down.

We did make it down and everyone survived. I think Jeremy might be
traumatized for a while. He cried through the laser and fireworks show so had to leave early. It was a really stressful, but we made it and we did it together!
