Way Down Upon the Suwannee River

Today was an amazing day on the river. It was completely beautiful! We went to see Aunt Wanda and Uncle David, who rented a boat. We road down the river almost to the coast.

We stopped a few times to play. Uncle David brought his remote controlled boats. Jeremy loved driving them around.
The alligator didn't even seem to care that the little boat was nearby until it was within a few feet.
My favorite part of the day was when we were riding back up along the shore, we saw atleast three or four manatees heading out toward the coast. They just looked like really fat logs under the water, but then they moved. Of course, I saw them first, and Joey didn't want to stop because he didn't believe me. Anyway, I never did get any pictures, but it was really amazing to see.

Hey, did you know that Charlie Crist is getting rid of the "Suwannee River" song as our state song? Something about it being too "ignorant" sounding...

I think I am going to start a blog of people who want to keep the Suwannee river song as our state song. Mostly because I have a problem with change.
